Motor City-based Costume Designer Couni Young is cut from a different cloth. She’s a member of the local union, well versed in the nuances of metro Detroit’s local hot spots, and has made a name for herself among Hollywood producers, directors and actors – while her work has made it into big league major motion pictures, she is understated and down-to-earth, a true pleasure to work with.

Young has a local crew that is LA trained and ready to roll. She does all of her own sketches and drafts her own patterns. Her unique box kit is filled with commercial and domestic sewing machines, sergers, steamers, racks and hangers and a trailer to transport it all directly to your set.

Her 2,500 square foot studio/warehouse is a treasure trove of fabulous finds from her many excursions throughout the suburbs and the city. Whether you need period pieces or the latest club looks -- she has accessories, shoes, boots, coats, wraps, couture, business attire, street wear – everything you could possibly need, from classic chic to urban edge.
